Looking Back

I’ve been pretty consistent with my workouts the past 2 months and am definitely feeling the difference, physically and mentally. When you make progress in anything, it’s hard to imagine why you didn’t move earlier, considering the great feeling of progress and accomplishment.

All negative thoughts do is slow you down; it’s like hitting the pause button on life. All you are doing s delaying life, because when you eventually climb out of the dark pit that is self-pity, everything gets better! Why put it off? Live life for today, like they say.

Well, onto the point of this post. As I am improving on my runs and sharing my progress with my soon-to-be-married brother, I found a picture of me crossing the finish line at the 2008 ING Miami Half-Marathon, one of the proudest moments of my life. I am slowly getting back into running, and I hope to be able to run the 2013 ING Miami Half-Marathon with Johnny.
